TWINNEDbySTARS will be at the heart of FIMAR 2026 this spring, co-organising the International Sea Fair (FIMAR) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 22 to 24 May. The event will be celebrated in Muelle Sanapú, in the Port of Las Palmas, as the leading meeting point for the nautical and maritime sectors in the Canary Islands, Spain.
This year’s edition will place a special focus on the outermost regions and the connection between ocean, night sky and sustainability, with Gran Canaria recognised as a Starlight Destination. In that context, TWINNEDbySTARS along with FIMAR will welcome Martinique as a guest territory, highlighting shared Atlantic links and the role of these regions in driving the blue economy and marine innovation.
Across the three days, the project will host several presentations, technical sessions and outreach activities, alongside exhibition stands open to professionals and the wider public. The fair will also offer a full leisure programme with nautical activities, children’s workshops and ocean‑focused talks along the waterfront.
TWINNEDbySTARS will take this opportunity in FIMAR 2026 to shine a light on its flagship tourism products: Atlantic Star Adventures (ASA), which combines navigation with stargazing, and the Atlantic On Board Internships (AOBI), which links training, science and marine tourism. Together, they show how the project is working to turn Atlantic destinations into benchmarks for responsible, knowledge‑based maritime ecotourism.
