Patricia Solinis Camalich, coordinator of the international area of CETECIMA, represented the organisation at the Atlantic Week 2024, a key event held from 20 to 22 November in Bordeaux, France. This meeting, organised under the framework of the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, brought together experts, leaders, and organisations from the member countries of the Atlantic Maritime Strategy to discuss innovative solutions to promote sustainable development in the European Atlantic area.
The event was notable for its focus on the priorities of the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, an initiative financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), aimed at environmental protection, energy transition, coastal resilience, and boosting the blue economy. During the conference, participants took part in round tables, workshops, and interactive sessions to address challenges such as the impact of climate change on coastal areas, the adoption of sustainable technologies, and the strengthening of collaboration between the Atlantic regions.
Among the most relevant activities, the Atlantic Week 2024 provided a crucial space to exchange ideas, create strategic alliances, and reaffirm the commitment to the objectives of the Interreg Programme. In addition, the TWINNEDbySTARS project was highlighted, underscoring its connection with the goals of innovation and transnational cooperation in the maritime field.
The participation of Patricia Solinis in this event reinforces the role of CETECIMA as an active agent in the implementation of sustainable and collaborative strategies in the European Atlantic.
