The University Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development, Tides, has announced the opening of a call for research talent to become actively involved in the work plan of the European project #TWINNEDbySTARS, led by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC).
The TWINNEDbySTARS project aims to increase the competitiveness of the maritime tourism sector in the Outermost Regions (ORs) while contributing to protecting marine biodiversity, preserving cultural heritage, and developing marine astro-tourism, recalling ancient seafarers as a sustainable destination for these remote territories, through the reinforcement of partnerships already in place, capacity building, and the joint creation of tourism products.
The selected researcher will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the advancement of knowledge in key areas such as marine astrotourism, marine biodiversity, sustainable tourism, and sustainable management of marine resources.
