The practical phase of the Marine Starguide certification, a training developed in the framework of the TWINNEDbySTARS project, took place in Azores and Madeira on 15 and 16 June.
During this activity, the participating small and medium-sized enterprises put into practice their knowledge of sky observation from the marine environment, integrating astronomy, navigation and tourism in a unique experience. The training focused on exploring the potential of the starry sky as an added value in nautical tourism products.
This practical experience has enabled progress to be made in the creation of new astro-tourism proposals, reinforcing the role of the outermost regions as territories with an identity, differentiating resources and development opportunities linked to the natural and cultural environment.
With Marine Starguide, TWINNEDbySTARS continues to strengthen its community of companies committed to designing sustainable and transformative experiences.
